The Joy of having a fireplace

Fireplaces have something special about them. They hold some sort of romance in them although that is in a very subtle way. Imagine a cold evening and you’re in your living room with the bright flames glowing in the fireplace. Even the very thought of this is exciting. Not only the fireplaces provide you with the much-required warmth in those chilly months, they also increase the ambiance of your home.
Things That Can be Done in a Room With a Fireplace

Now think of the stuff you can do in front of a fireplace and enjoy the soothing warmth is exudes. How about just basking in its warmth and reading a book. Poetry maybe? You might even want to read a magazine. Or how about picking up your old photo albums and taking a journey down the memory lane and revisiting the old memories. Not  a books person? No worries. How about digging out one of your old vinyl’s and listening to some music as you absorb the warmth. Some people might even want to just sit with their spouse/partner, cuddle up and make the evening all the more romantic. Presence of a fireplace in the room can make your evening.

Not Everybody Can Have a Fireplace

However, not everybody has the pleasure of having their very own fireplaces. Especially those living in rented out apartments as they save up for their own house. Those that do have their wood or gas fireplaces have to deal with a few disadvantages. For example, burning of wood produces a lot of smoke. Now while, a major chunk of that smoke will go out through the chimney, some of it is quite likely to sneak inside your room. This smoke can be harmful and you may develop breathing/lung disorders if you breathe it in for a long time. Other fallout’s of such fireplaces are huge construction costs, soot deposition, the smell (which can get tacky at times), and then of course the maintenance (not to forge the costs involved in it).

So What’s the Way Out

Sometime, it might just not be worth the trouble to have a fireplace if do much hassle are involved. If only there was an easier way to get that warm cosy feeling without all the accompanying disadvantages. Luckily there is just that. Ethanol fireplaces provide that much needed fireplace but they come with the added advantage of making it classier. There is no soot to clean and there are no odours to deal with. And here’s the best part, there are no poisonous emissions to worry about.

A designer fireplace is the new and smart way to get warm and cosy during the winter months when the chill is killing. This designer fireplace scores over normal, run-of-the-will fireplaces in a number of ways. It is easy to install and one does not need to get installation permits to have one as in the case of wood fireplaces. That means even apartment renters can enjoy the many advantages that come with owning a outdoor heaters and enjoy some soothing warmth in the winter chill.
