Video Production Comes to iPhone

With the latest advancements in technology shooting videos on your cell phone has never been easier, especially if you own an iPhone. With the new iPhone 4, the fun with videos has become even more exciting since you can now edit your movies right on your phone. There is no need to download your video onto your computer and then use editing software to transform it into something without all of the extra stuff that really doesn’t add to your shot.

With the use of iMovie, whenever you shoot a video it automatically pops up in your iMovie file all set and ready for editing and is specifically designed for Multi-Touch.  With a simple tap you can add to your video as well as your pictures and then preview your award-winning clip before sending it to others. The app includes eight themes to enhance your movie and many of the themes include special titles, a soundtrack and transition modes.

The process of editing in iMovie is really as simple as tapping the screen. You will be able to see where one clip ends and the next one begins and seam them together or add something between them to show your movie just like you want it to be seen. Using the audio input on your device you can add direct sound, such as narration to your video or add music and other sound effects available on the app. You can also add background sound such as laugh tracks or dramatic sounds and with over than 50 effects you can add that perfect sound at every point in your project.

With iMovie it is easy to drag and drop sound effects to add or delete sounds and you can also rearrange your audio clips in a few seconds. Depending on the type of project you are working on you can use several songs to fill the background or use a single audio file in a loop to replay the same sound throughout the presentation. Your narration can be recorded through your microphone in the iPad, on your iPhone and even on an iPod Touch.

Once you have edited and saved your project you are ready to share it with the world, or even just a few friends. You can publish your movie directly from iMovie to your favorite social network such as Facebook or to YouTube or Vimeo as well as to CNN iReport. If you have the AirPlay app you can use it to send your video right to Apple TV or use the Camera Roll to synchronize the video to your PC or Mac and with the Apple AV adapter you can show your movie project on your big screen TV.

If you want a larger screen to edit your project, simply transfer your movie files to your iPad using iTunes, which allows you to move your files between all compatible devices. With the larger screen on your iPad it may be easier to visualize what others will see before you make your movie available to the world.
